Mr. Joseph M. Jones was born June 13, 1929 in Garfield, KY to the late Veachel Andrew and Elizabeth Lambirth Jones. He departed this life Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, having attained the age of eighty-eight years, six months and two days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a retired clergyman. He was also a funeral director and former co-owner of the Foster and Jones Funeral Home in Greensburg. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and a sister-in-law: Thomas Logan Jones, Emery and Ava Jones and Ruth Jones.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Moore Jones, one son and daughter-in-law: Byron and Lynn Linebaugh Jones and one daughter: Dana Jones, of Nashville, Tennessee, two sisters-in-law: Shelley Jones of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Helen Clark of Greensburg, two grandchildren: Andrew Reed Jones of Austin, Texas and Taylor Linebaugh Jones of Nashville, Tennessee, nephew: Thomas Emery Jones of Greensburg, niece: Ann Myra Drury of Texas and several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Place and Time of Funeral Service: Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church - 2 p.m. Central Time Monday, December 18, 2017
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Central Time Sunday and from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. Monday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at 2 p.m. Monday at the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church or the Mary Kate Moore Scholarship Fund. These can be made at the funeral home or at the church.
